Morgan and Bella took these pictures of Room 11′s World War One reports.
The reports were about famous soldiers that fought for New Zealand and Australia.
Aren’t these cool? Room 11 had to gather up all the imformation then put them into paragraghs.
Then Room 11 typed them up. Didn’t they do a fabulous job!!!
This week Team 3 are starting a spell-a-thon which will help raise money for our trip to Wellington. While we are there, we will visit places such as the City Art Gallery, Capital E studio, Te Papa, Parliament and the National War Memorial. We are inquiring about different ways to tell a story.
Each student will get 50 words and be tested on all 50 of them. Please sponsor your child either for each correct word or an overall donation. Please collect the money and return to school by Friday 1 June. Thank you very much.
Just to let you know that the students received a comprehensive Camp Wellington newsletter on Friday. The newsletter confirms dates, itinery, transport and the cost of the trip. There is a consent form on it as well. Please return it to me as soon as possible. Many thanks.
A huge thank you to all those students who dressed in their best for our visit to hear the New Zealand Symphony orchestra at the Municipal theatre. There are pictures of the students in all their finery on the school website. We had an amazing experience and the students were a credit to the school .A big thank you also to the very kind parents who provided transport.
This week the Science in a van roadshow was back at school. The students learnt all about the effects of temperature on the three states of matter – solids, liquids and gases. We even saw the effect of liquid nitrogen on these states of matter. It was a great morning and the students were buzzing about the experiments.
